Waves created in matte yet radiant stainless steel or precious gold were Heiko Schrem’s first jewelry theme which he has cultivated ever since. What characterizes this designer from the Swabian city of Ulm, in addition to continuously further developing his perfected, modern formal idiom, is the precision of his craftsmanship. However, he is not only interested in the physical appearance of his pieces but also in their metaphysical meaning. Thus it is no coincidence that he has chosen the spiral, this mysterious basic form that occurs both in nature and in our cosmos, as the theme of his Spira line. The pieces in his Helios line each present a complex, colorful microcosm produced by sophisticated optical reflections. Heiko Schrem’s collections are represented at leading international jewelers.
