“The magic of transformation” is the phrase Peter Schmid uses to refer to his latest Metamorphosis collection featuring agate slices cut exclusively for these one-of-a-kind pieces. Their overall design is characterized by the atelier’s typical opulence introduced by Michael Zobel. The exciting interplay between magnificent materials and intense colors lends all these pieces an aura of permanence and validity. Schmid himself comments on his works as follows: “Those who wear our jewelry want to emerge from the crowd with a smile on their faces.”

The ring with a starburst-cut aquamarine and the bangle flaunting a large rock crystal represent an accomplished combination of geometry and décor. The superbly handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces from this atelier in Constance have been carried for years by leading galleries in Europe and the USA. Recently, they were also included in the Art Rocks exhibition in London’s renowned Shizaru Gallery.
