The new “Nature & Rubberbands” lamp series is characterized by clear-cut geometrical shapes combined with lively patterns and surface textures. Metal artists Ruprecht Holsten creates these cylindrical lamps in a variety of sizes in collaboration with textile designer Sylvia Döhler, who creates a wide range of decorative fabrics that provide the lamps’ lining. Natural materials integrated in the fabrics such as grass, maple leaves or even narrow rubber rings make for exciting lighting effects and plays of light and shadow. Designed so as to be variable, the lamps can either be used as a floor lamp when mounted on a bottom plate or installed with a fixture on the wall, ceiling or floor.
