The “aeria” line designed by Jörg Stoffel surprises the beholder with its reference to a natural phenomenon: Admiring these pieces we will find our gaze gliding over the smooth surface of the sphere-cut stones right into the “eye of a hurricane”. This phenomenal optical effect is the result of a sophisticated cutting technique which this gemstone designer from Stipshausen applies to create a new, gently rounded and sensuous type of jewelry. Its quality is not derived from superficial glamour but is based on a sophistication that requires supreme artistic craftsmanship.
