Sabine Brandenburg-Frank / Jewelry

Sabine Brandenburg-Frank

1957 Born in Pforzheim, Germany. Studied jewelry design at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim and Düsseldorf
1983 Founded an atelier with Egon Frank

In the 1980s Sabine Brandenburg-Frank made a name for herself internationally with her jewelry lines characterized by minimalist, organic shapes and matted surfaces. Later on she started integrating archaic motifs such as a circle, a spiral and bands in her oeuvre. This jewelry designer, who also holds a PhD in German language and literature, is a master at playing with clear-cut lines and a symbolism that has its roots in classical antiquity. In 1996 her Möbius bangle was included in the collection of Pforzheim’s Jewelry Museum. In 1999, her Folding bangle with its sophisticated clasping mechanism won the red dot Award for the highest design quality. Since 2005 Sabine Brandenburg-Frank’s collection has been manufactured as an independent line by the IsabelleFa manufactory.
