PUR

1951 Birth of Hans-Hermann Lingenbrinck in Viersen, Germany
1973–1978 University of Applied Sciences, Düsseldorf
1983 Foundation of PUR in Nettetal

In the 1980s PUR made a name for itself with its modern platinum and gold necklaces. Its K02 disk necklace counts among the most important classics of modern jewelry design. In the late 1990s PUR introduced its Swivel rings, featuring flexible, interchangeable jewelry elements. The “yieldingness” of the decorative ring head affects the wearing experience and how the wearer can use this piece of jewelry. Each Swivel ring can be combined with a second or third one, thus opening up countless options for variation. Both the Pforzheim Jewelry Museum and the Ludwig Museum in Cologne included pieces created by PUR in their collections. As early as in the late 1990s PUR was honored with the red dot for the highest design quality, awarded by the Design Center of North Rhine-Westphalia.
