At the 2007 Couture Jewelry Show in Las Vegas Erich Zimmermann was honored for his golden Cocoon necklace with the first prize in the “Gold” category of that year’s Town&Country Design Awards. It won the Design Plus Award in 1993 and was included in the collection of Dresden’s Museum of Decorative Arts in 2001. Another important theme of this jewelry artist are his Princess rings featuring large colored gemstones, and his Cleopatra necklaces vividly demonstrate how closely related modernism and antique jewelry can be.
