Seit 2001 Has been working as a freelance artist and jewelry designer in Düsseldorf

Graphic shapes, clear structures and a certain extravagance are the hallmarks of Dominique Labordery’s jewelry, handcrafted in limited editions. Particularly compelling is the minimalist interplay of proportion and color, complemented by the expressiveness of different materials. The three-dimensional C_C brooch, composed of two parts each of which in turn consist of two crescent-shaped disks, is kept together by magnets. The more or less distinct garment fold thus created serves as a functional element in the staging of the jewelry. With her Groove rings, which unite the square and the circle, Labordery manages a delicate balancing act between ratio and emotion. The platinum variant of the Groove ring won the inhorgenta europe 2009 Innovation Award.
